Pet Project
CAST has been blessed in more ways the last several years than we
could have ever predicted. Because of these blessings, we are
'paying it forward' by actively supporting The DeKalb County Animal
Shelter in Genoa, another local group that does good work. This
project started in the summer of 2010 and will continue...we are
grateful for the good work that they do there.
There are two ways in which YOU can help...by donating supplies or
donating your time to volunteer. We will have a few 'donation' days
set up throughout our CAST production.
If you would like to volunteer to help at the shelter (a very rewarding
experience!) you can contact the shelter by calling them. Kids age 15
and under must bring a parent volunteer along with them. You may even
bring a friend to help! Their greatest need is on weekday afternoons in
the summertime. You can help walk and exercise the dogs, spend time
playing with and grooming the cats who desperately need time out of
their cages. Please call before you go and check in with the staff to
be sure that they need help that day. Please prayerfully consider how
you can participate. Please visit their website (listed below) to learn
more.
